One Week Old....

Well in the wee hours this morning Connor celebrated his first week of life. He sure wanted to be sure that both his Mom and Dad were awake when 1:49 am came around too! We've definitely got our days and nights all messed up but we know thats part of the deal so we're hanging with you Connor - all night long!
Today Grandma and Grandpa Paulsrud made the journey back to Eau Claire after having been here since last Saturday. They got in some good quality time and we sure hope they enjoyed their stay for Connor's first week of life. We got lots of good pictures of them with their first grandchild and lots of memories I'm sure they won't be forgetting anytime soon!

Dan and I took a bunch of pictures today - but I only have the ones from my camera so the last few Paulsrud family photos will go up a bit later once I get them downloaded.

Today is coming to a close and we were fortunate to have a visit from Dan's close friend (and co-worker) Rodney Kidd. Rodney was here for our first real 'throw up' experience - ha! Lucky guy! Thankfully Dan was holding him at the time and not Rodney. Great to see you Rodney - thanks for the visit!!

We'll be taking pictures every Friday to show Connor's growth along with the date - eventually we'll switch to 'monthly' but for now we'll be doing weekly since he's changing so fast already. Here are a few of the photos I took today while Dan keep Connor 'propped' up.

Otherwise, we thank everyone for their prayers for us and also my grandmother. She has been admitted at Weiss Hospital in Chicago, IL for a minimum of 4 nights. At this point we are just daily praying to avoid another surgery. As another day comes to close we are thankful it is so without a surgery. Your thoughts and prayers are so greatly appreciated.
Tomorrow will be another big day! Lots of visitors driving to Milwaukee to visit Connor for the first time. Let's hope he gets a good nights rest (wink*wink*nudge*nudge) so he's extra social for his special guests.
Love to you all - have a fantastic weekend.

  1. Awww... that's the first time I've seen the little guy with his eyes open. I wish I were coming to Milwaukee this weekend to see him too :( Switching to monthly updates?! How about daily?! Haha.
