Saturday at Home!

So this is the kind of things people do when they get to stay home for a weekend?  Actually have a clean house?  Actually have a lawn that is mowed before it 'needs it'?  Plant trees? Grocery shop? Do laundry?  See friends? Have people over?  Enjoy good food?  Enjoy even better company?

I could get used to that!

Saturday night we hosted our first outdoor movie night!  I think this will be the first of many to come!

My favorite moment from the night was walking outside to see my little Abby Rose all snuggled in her sleeping bag, sitting on a chair by the campire, drinking warm apple cider and watching Toy Story.  It's a moment I'll have etched in my mind as a night of perfection!

Thanks to all who stopped over!

Come on Ride the Train....

A few weeks ago Dan was flying in late from a work trip and we needed to pick him up so Connor and I hit the mall nearby to kill some time. Lucky for Connor they have a pretty cool train that he got to ride. Though I'm not too sure how much he enjoyed it. What do you think?

All done! (still not sure if he's happy or not?!?)

I don't know these people at all - but literally I LOVED this video. If you don't smile watching this there is something wrong with you!

God Bless America

Last night we had the honor and privledge to watch one of Uncle Keiths very best friends, Michael Minarik, sing God Bless America at the Yankee's Playoff game at Yankee Stadium. Lucky Uncle Keith was there and lucky us they actually televised it! Here he is singing: And here is Connor watching him on TV! (and I'll note he stood there just like this thru the WHOLE song virtually)
So cool! Great job Minarik - we're definitely proud!!

My sisters friend Kate is in management for a big retailer and I remember her once saying - be sure you teach your kids your names as when kids get separated from their parents and all they know is "Mom" and "Dad" it doesn't really help much!

So with that - we've been working on teaching Connor our names - what do you think, does he have it yet?
